Brittany Wagler, MSc, Scientist
Brittany (she/her) is a wildlife ecologist motivated by applied ecological questions and challenges. Brittany strives to leverage field data, remotely sensed data, and various modeling approaches for her work to inform and build science-based management decisions and policies. Her work has mostly focused on nutrition, movement behavior, and disease of ungulates. She holds an MSc in Zoology and Physiology and a BSc in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and Management from the University of Wyoming.
Brittany’s love for wildlife and being outside got her started in this field and she spent a lot of time doing field work such as capturing bighorn sheep lambs and measuring plants from the alpine to the sage-steppe. Though she now spends much more time behind a computer writing reports or running models, she tries to fit in all her hobbies including biking, skiing, rafting, building trails, cooking wild game, fermenting all the things, and hanging out with dogs.
