Patrick Freeman, MSc, Lead Scientist

Patrick (he/him) is a wildlife ecologist and conservation biologist that leverages data, quantitative modeling and analysis, and science communication to empower stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to better understand and protect biodiversity from populations to landscapes. He holds a BSc and MSc from Stanford University’s interdisciplinary Earth Systems Program and an MSc in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Brown University.

Patrick’s past research adventures have taken him frequently to Sub-Saharan Africa where he’s spent time lovingly studying male elephant social behavior, sifted through more animal dung than you can imagine, and fallen in love with savanna ecosystems. When he’s not perfecting his sea salt chocolate chip cookie recipe over too many cups of coffee, he enjoys wildlife photography, nerding out about the newest dinosaur discoveries, and hopes he can get back in the dressage saddle again soon. You can learn more about him and see more photos of elephants than you ever thought you needed at https://patricktfreeman.com/.
